About RVs

An increasing number of our owners and guests travel to the resort in recreational vehicles (RVs). The Orange Lake Condominium Associations have very specific rules concerning RVs, which include motor homes, fifth-wheels, pop-up campers, boat trailers, tractor-trailers, tow dollies, and similar items.

Specifically, the rules and regulations prohibit parking RVs on resort property, except in specific designated areas. These RV parking rules were established not only for safety and aesthetic reasons, but also to ensure that we have ample parking available for the thousands of owners and guests on the resort property each day. As part of the development process, we do provide 1.5 parking spaces per each accommodation unit on property. These parking spaces are intended for cars used by our owners and guests to travel around Central Florida during their stay.

Traditionally, the RV parking area has been in the last row of our West Village Central Services parking lot. However, the growing number of vehicles has created safety, aesthetic and space concerns there. Rather than prohibiting RV parking as many resorts have done, we’ve accommodated it by creating a new designated parking area at the resort. We’ve designated a limited number of specially marked parking places for RVs in the East Village, as shown on the RV parking map.

The only exception to the requirement that RVs be parked in this area is if the RV, by length and width, fits into a traditional parking space and is the guest’s only means of transportation.

During the registration process, guests with RVs need to ask for an additional VIP Pass for their RV, boat or trailer. This pass must be visibly displayed in each vehicle and in other such items being parked on property, even in the designated RV area. If there are no designated spaces available, Member Resort Services can provide guests with a list of nearby RV facilities that offer RV parking and storage. (See contact numbers below.)

If guests who arrive in an RV need an alternative means of transportation while they are here, car rental is available right on property. These services are offered through our Tickets & Transportation Hertz Rental desk in the West Village Clubhouse lobby. Car rental requests are subject to availability and certain restrictions may apply.

Lastly, because Orange Lake is not a licensed campground or RV resort, we are prohibited from allowing anyone, including pets, to occupy RVs while parked anywhere on resort property—including the designated RV parking spots. The RV must be completely closed up with no awnings, steps or slide-outs open. Antennas and/or satellite dishes must remain down. Any RV, trailer, boat or similar item parked in the designated area or on other resort property that is not in compliance with these rules is subject to removal at the owner’s expense.
