In 1992, RCI created the Gold Crown Award Program to recognize resorts that have attained the highest level of excellence in resort accommodations and hospitality. RCI selects Gold Crown Award winners after a rigorous 12-month compilation of guest assessments of the resort's quality, service and overall vacation experience. RCI also conducts an independent, on-site evaluation of the resort's facilities and amenities. Orange Lake Resort & Country Club has been awarded a Gold Crown designation every year since the program's inception.
